Happy New Year!

As we come to the end of the year, I'd love to thank you for your business and support and share a few of my highlights with you!

February saw me flying across the world to join an amazing photography-business workshop with photographer Jonathan Canlas in Hawaii! It was a huge step up for me to achieve this goal, which at some times felt totally out of reach... But I made it, I learned so much and made some great friendships with other photographers around the world.

How wonderful to be chosen to be the wedding photographer for some awesome couples in Oxford, London and Surrey. It was an honour to capture more beautiful weddings and special moments for my amazing clients and their families.

Including an impromptu wedding harlem shake...!

On a hot and sweaty day in July I found myself in a London studio shooting a cover for an online magazine with Vince Kidd, an artist from the first series of talent show The Voice.

Loved shooting more fashion work for the worlds leading modelling agencies with talent in London and Los Angeles!

And shot some of London Fashion Week!

I photographed more charity events for Handbags-For-Hospices and AIDSArk which included shooting an intimate fund-raising dinner at Graham Nortons London home!

I was beyond thrilled to be invited to shoot abroad this year! I travelled to beautiful Paris for a special family portrait session with one of my cherished 2012 wedding clients - it was such a pleasure to catch up with them and capture the next part of their story with their gorgeous baby boy, spending the whole day exploring their favourite parts of town!

I also shot a really cool up and coming band Wild China in Fuerteventura! It was so great to shoot in a totally different kind of environment and do something so creative... It was so inspiring and I can't wait to be able to share the photos! I'm excited to have been booked for more destination shoots next year! Yay!

I worked with more fantastic entrepreneurial men and women, capturing soulful and engaging portraits for their businesses. I love helping my clients to relax into the session, taking the fear away from being photographed and bring out the passion they have for what they do... Creating photos that they are proud to use!

So what have you been up to this year? I'd love to hear your highlights!

You can keep up to date with my offers and adventures on my blog here, or you can find me on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter!

I look forward to keeping in touch with you in the new year and wish you a beautiful 2014! xxx

Aids Ark's Dinner for 1 Fundraising Event

Last weekend I was delighted to photograph a series of Aids Ark fundraising dinners around London. Dinners were hosted worldwide on 9th March, and for the ones in London they were followed by a fabulous after party at private members club Adams Street. Over £30,000 was raised from the evening, an absolutely amazing achievement. What this money will go towards is going to make a huge difference to those living with HIV/AIDS in the developing world.

Alongside videographer Chloe Pemberton, I travelled to three dinners including Graham Nortons, to document part of their evenings.

We headed to the after party (organised by Alastair Brown Events) which included live entertainment and was followed by a heartfelt speech by one of the co-founders of the wonderful charity, Jeremy Norman. A raffle was also held and some amazing prizes were kindly donated by brands such as Soho Gyms.

Dinner for 1 has become an annual event. You can find out more about how you can help to raise money through fundraising here or donate now here.

Behind the scenes with Pepsi and Shirlie at an OK Magazine shoot

Last month I was excited and honoured to be invited by Pepsi and Shirlie to go behind the scenes at their OK Magazine shoot. These beautiful 80s pop icons have been busy preparing for the promotion of promotion of the release of Wham! The Final CD, that marks the 25th anniversary of their farewell compilation album from 1986. Theres a great article about it all on the Shapers of the 80s blog here.

The shoot took place at The Shoreditch Studios, London. The room we were working in was a large versatile space, even with a stylish kitchen at one end! I've not been to a studio like that before!

I could see myself doing any kind of shoot there... Its a vibrant place with many studios that a lot of magazines use... I didn't know who I was going to bump into next!

The photographer for the shoot was Lorna Roach, styling by Bronagh Meere and hair and makeup by Jolanda Coetzer. The spread is in the current copy of OK magazine now!

Here are some of my behind the scenes photos!

Portrait session with David Wells

I was excited to do this portrait session with David Wells this summer, in connection with his latest soon to be released book. His wonderful VA, Tracy, founder of My Virtual Concierge contacted me to arrange the shoot.

We used a few locations in Portsmouth, and the photos below were taken in the beautiful gardens not far from the beach.

You may recognise David from Living TV's show Most Haunted on which he worked until 2007. He is also the main astrologer for the UK National Newspaper The Mirror, and has four books published as a Hay House author.

It was great fun working with David, I love his fun, warm energy and think we really captured that in the photos!

Thanks for reading! Come and join me on my...

Pepsi & Shirlie

Here are some photos from a quick photo shoot I did with gorgeous 80's pop stars Pepsi & Shirlie earlier this week in during the build up to the 2011 Here and Now Tour. Their first show with the tour is on the 24th June '11 (tonight!!) at the Birmingham NEC, they'll be travelling all over the country with other brilliant acts such as Boy George, Jason Donovan, Jimmy Somerville, Belinda Carlisle, Midge Ure and A Flock Of Seagulls.

This is Pepsi and Shirlies first appearance with the Here and Now Tour after being asked to do it for years since it began in 2001.

It's such a great event for all those who love the music of the eighties, and I love to think of all the fans who are so excited to go to relive their passion for the 80's, especially exciting for those who never got a chance to see them live before!

Enjoy the photos!

Starlight Walk charity event for the Watford Peace Hospice

Last night marked the 5th annual Starlight Walk fundraising event for the Watford Peace Hospice. Around 1,300 women took part in the walk to raise money for the charity. This is the Peace Hospices biggest fundraising event and it was inspiring to see so many incredible women from the age of 13 to 83 take part!

It began at the West Herts College, live music was played by teachers from the college and the walkers took part in some warm up dances and exercises together before the walk!

Tropical FM were there to document the evening and provide reportage from the event with a live video broadcast. DJ Salsarah, Operational Manager of Tropical FM was hosting the video which you can see here.

The ladies were thanked for their support of the charity by Linda Topping, Chair of the Starlight Walk Committee, Watford MP Richard Harrington and the Mayor of Watford, Dorothy Thornhill.

Martin Kemp of Spandau Ballet also gave warm words of encouragement and support to the ladies as they set out on the 13 mile course at midnight!

You can read more about this fantastic event on the Peace Hospices official website here.

Here are a few of my shots of the event!
