Personal brand photography in Dorset for Feng Shui Consultant, Qi Gong Teacher, Ba Zi Astrologer | Ryan Terren

It was brilliant to collaborate with Ryan Terren this summer on his new personal brand photography in Dorset.

Working with ancient Chinese spiritual wisdom, he supports, guides, and teaches clients on their life path in many different ways - and it was absolutely fascinating to learn about!

During our photo-shoot we wanted to represent the modalities he respectfully practices with clients, from Feng Shui, Ba Zi Astrology, Yi Jing, and Qi Gong, as well his membership group which meets online to explore and deepen their learning of these profound tools and arts.

Ryan is living the philosophies he’s working with and sharing with clients, and we wanted this essence of integrity and deep respect for the wisdom and techniques to be felt through the images, as well as bringing personality, spontaneity, playfulness, and a sense of being approachable and accessible.

As a person who works with the energy and design of physical spaces; the location, layouts, colours and textures for his new photography was especially important. We chose to shoot in his beautiful home studio, home, and local woodland.

Wanting the shots to feel real, relateable and down to earth, we steered clear of the glossy, minimal and polished aesthetic we often see associated with Feng Shui, and instead embraced natural elements and textures and a sense of ‘a little rough around the edges’.
