Personal brand photography in Devon for Animal Welfare Consultant | Mandy Lucas
It was a total joy to work with animal welfare consultant Mandy on her personal brand photography in Devon.
I first met Mandy at a brilliant ‘Walk & Talk’ women’s networking event in Exeter, hosted by Chris Heron, which I have been going along to since I moved here in Spring 2023. We shared many interesting conversations about her work travelling the world, assessing and helping farmers to improve conditions for animals.
When I launched my May mini-shoot day earlier this year I was delighted that she booked in to be part of it!
(You can sign up to find out when the next mini-shoot day is happening here.)
Before the day, we had a chat to explore her business as it is now and for the chapter ahead. We discussed how she’d like her personal brand photography to look and feel, the stories we wanted to tell, and clarified our visions for her new photos.
It was important that her new images captured her personality, felt warm and welcoming, open and approachable and trustworthy.
We wanted them to show her as the experienced professional she is, while being down to earth and easy to talk to - which was not difficult to capture!
Mandy is pragmatic, experienced, and caring in her approach to her work, making a real connection with the people she’s engaging with.
She’s not just asking questions and ticking boxes; she’s conversational, building rapport so that she can assess the projects and situations she’s working on with a true depth of understanding, working to find the most positive solutions and outcomes for all involved.
She empowers her clients to improve their brand reputation and risk mitigation, and be informed about where they actually stand on animal welfare issues.
Mandy has such a naturally warm, friendly and approachable presence, it was not difficult to capture shots that brought across her kind and caring personality, as well as the passion for the work she does.
During our 30 minute photo-shoot (with a little buffer time either side) we captured a brilliant variety of photos that gave a glimpse into Mandy and how she works. The rural location of The Tribe and surrounding area was perfect for everything we had planned!
Below are a few of my favourite photos from our session.
