A Vintage Wedding Affair

Last Saturday I went down to the amazing Fleetville Vintage Emporium on Hatfield Road, St Albans to document 'a Vintage Wedding Affair', a vintage wedding fair created to inspire brides and grooms. It was organised by the beautiful Alexandre of The Bijou Bride and Beth of Be Vintage, and they really made the whole afternoon a real success! Alex Merri also arranged the wedding favour Bijou Bride Candy Buffet which looked fab, and Beth Morgan Allen from Be Vintage had some vintage Alice in Wonderland themed tableware and accessories on display which you will see below!

Exhibiting on the day were florists Hooper & Palmer, the wonderful wedding photographer Anushe Low (absolutely LOVE her work!), wedding dress maker Kate Edmondson, bridal headwear specialist Nina George, lingerie maker Ophelia Fancy with their bridal collection, Vintage Tea Party organisers Sundae Surprise, cake supplier Heaven is a Cupcake and the ingenious Camper Booth (the photo booth inside the retro VW Camper van!)!

I absolutely loved taking photos of all the pretty things that were on display and connecting with everyone there.

I also photographed some fab couples who modelled wedding dresses and beautiful bouquets by Hooper & Palmer. Make up was by LMC make up.

I'm based in High Wycombe and didn't know about the venue (Fleetville Vintage Emporium) until the event, but oh my goodness I am so glad I do now! They have the most incredible selection of original vintage and retro clothing/accessories, kitchen ware, furniture, and all kinds of gorgeous items! They also have the cutest little cafe, there is so much to look at!

In a warehouse behind the Fleetville Vintage Emporium is Scally Dog Collectables, which is equally brilliant! Again they stock beautiful antique, vintage and retro furniture, homeware, collectable items, art and some vintage and retro clothing.

As a photographer, I thought it was a brilliant place to check out for props for photo shoots or film sets - you won't believe how amazing it is until you get down there. You've got to check out these places!

Please take a look at the official blog on the event over at The Bijou Bride's Blog for more information.

Enjoy the photos!
