Event photography | Dawn chorus walk with ecologist Tom Forward at Happy Startups Summercamp

The Happy Startup’s annual Summercamp is coming up in just a couple of months and I’m honoured to be returning to capture the magic!

I’ve just been going through the programme for the 2026 event and honestly, my goodness, what a treat we’re all going to be in for!!! (There are still a few tickets left if you’re able to join, it’s the weekend of 11th - 13th Sept.)

Amidst the very motivating talks, powerful workshops, wild-spa & swimming, heartful conversations, the dancing (omg there’s too many more things to list here) there are also the quieter experiences, like the ones in these photos…

You’ll have to get up before the sun does for it though, and it’s so worth it!!

Led by ecologist @forward.tom, on this Dawn Chorus walk we will connect with the world around us while all is dimpsy and be welcomed into a new day with birdsong.

Tom will teach us to notice their calls, what to look and listen out for, and answer our questions, smelling wild mint crushed underfoot as we wander through meadows, then onto woodland and around the lake. Lots of different habitats. This is one of many beautiful moments not to be missed at Summercamp. 🪶
