Islington Town Hall Wedding - Piers and Kirsten

I was delighted to photograph the wedding of Piers and Kirsten this Summer. Their intimate ceremony took place on August 31st at Islington Town Hall with close family members and some good friends. After the ceremony we walked up to their apartment a few minutes away for a fun gathering with lots of laughter, champagne and colourful cupcakes!

The following day, celebrations continued as relatives and even more good friends travelled from all over the world to celebrate this couple!

The day was held at Piers's gorgeous family home between Oxford and Aylesbury. It was a beautiful setting for the occasion with gorgeous gardens and views as far as you can see, across the rolling Buckinghamshire countryside.

Their story began when they found themselves sitting next to each other on business trips to Paris. How romantic!

Piers is currently based in the Middle East where he runs his business from, and Kirsten lives and works in London, after moving here from New York. It was inspiring to get to know a couple who have had to work through the tests of a long distance relationship. The speeches that they both made were just so touching. It was amazing!

From start to finish their weddings celebrations were full of laughter, catching up with old friends and having fun! It wasn't a traditional wedding with cake cutting and first dances, but Kirsten did throw her bouquet into the crowd before they made their exit later in the evening!

As I came to know her, Kirsten has such a beautiful and playful energy as you will see from the photographs.

Thank you for asking me to shoot your wedding, it was totally amazing to capture it all and work with such special people. :)

So here we go with the photos... Day one, the ceremony...
